Letters
Emma was diagnosed with ventriculomegaly during her routine 20-week ultrasound. Things started to get a little hectic after that, and instead of trying to keep all of our friends and family members up-to-date on an individual basis, I started writing these letters and sending out mass e-mails.
1st Edition Emma Hope Newsletter - July, 2003. We get our first ride in an ambulance.
2nd Edition Emma Hope Newsletter - August, 2003. Nothing interesting, really - just keeping everyone up-to-date.
3rd Edition Emma Hope Newsletter - September, 2003. Finalizing the delivery schedule and directions to the hospital.
4th Edition Emma Hope Newsletter - September, 2003. A detailed description of the delivery, Emma's surgery, and our first days with her in the NICU and at home.
2003 Christmas letter - A summary of the year's events.
2004 Christmas letter - Ditto.
5th Edition Emma Hope Newsletter - April, 2005. We try and figure out what's going on with Emma. In the meantime, she experiences seizures, and we go for three more rides in an ambulance.
6th Edition Emma Hope Newsletter - We discover Emma has SMA.
2005 Christmas letter - Not a very easy letter to write.
